  • Use the Right Tools - For example, a brush with hard bristles may break delicate baby hairs. Try opting for a brush with softer bristles and brushing gently. 

  • Skip Tight Hairstyles and products that are too stiff - Tension can cause breakage, hair loss and traction alopecia. Additionally, holding products that are too strong can cause brittle hair and breakage unless protected from friction.

  • Handle Wigs with Care - Theoretically, wigs protect protective hairstyles. However, wigs can place tension along the perimeter of your hair with a tight wig band and please don’t overlook the wig combs.  Please exercise care with wigs and give your hair a break from time to time. Please also use proper remover if using wig adhesive.

  • Reduce the Heat - Always go with minimum heat if using heat on your edges but try to use heat on your edges as little as possible and use a quality thermal protectant.

  •  Reduce Friction - While you sleep and shift positions, your hair encounters friction against bedding. This friction might result in dryness, roughness, and potential breakage. To promote the growth of your edges, safeguard your hair during your beauty sleep routine by either wrapping it in a satin or silk scarf or wearing a protective bonnet.
  • Nourish from Within

    A well-balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins is essential for promoting hair growth. Incorporate foods like leafy greens, fish, and nuts into your meals.
